Parkinson's Disease: Caregiver Education and Learning Path

Parkinson's disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement, cognition, sleep, mood, and behavior. For the person living with it and for the family caring for them, the changes are rarely linear and often arrive without warning.

This learning path is built for caregivers and families navigating Parkinson's disease at any stage. Every article is written in plain language and grounded in peer-reviewed research. Robbins Nest Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by a caregiver living inside this diagnosis.

Why we cover Parkinson's disease

Rob Robbins is a Special Forces veteran, former ER paramedic, and the person at the center of this organization's mission. He lives with Parkinson's disease alongside CTE, dementia, FND, and PTSD. The content on this page is informed by that lived experience and by the peer-reviewed research that helps us understand what is happening and why.

Parkinson's rarely arrives alone. For many veterans and TBI survivors, it overlaps with cognitive decline, mood dysregulation, and neurological symptoms from prior injuries. This learning path reflects that complexity.
